Brookview CLG (the Owners’ Management Company) required Fire Safety Upgrade Works in 140 apartments, now more than 30 years old, in Clontarf, Dublin. The works included upgrading or replacing more than 200 fire rated doors, fireproofing of service cabinets and risers, building of firewalls and shafts in attics, and firestopping at party walls. The work was completed satisfactorily by skilled tradesmen who dealt with all the residents courteously, and were flexible in the face of restricted access and residents’ preferences.
